Buried Treasure

I call film photos Filmographs because people are using the word Photo to mean digital images. Filmographs are rare collectible items but until they find the person who they for they remain buried underneath a billion images that resemble grains of sand. Some blowing in the wind, others stacked upon each other as high as a mountain.

More About Me

Digital Above vs Original Location Scout Below

I love Digital Images but there is no treasure there. They are Proofs. Pretty things that are the cover that attracts people to the true value. The physical Film.

Film is a Value Beyond Gold and Silver

I still have aspirations to film the cinema planned at this location. For now I had to unearth the treasure because it meant something to us. We often leave the treasure buried because we are preoccupied with our attention being stolen from us. When the true value of film is restored it won’t be just a fun thing to do. It will be a new currency of exchange holding value like gold and silver. Until then it's hiding in a junkyard somewhere baking under the burning sun until its ready to be taken out of the oven and served for the world to appreciate.
