Maintain Don't Refrain
Recently, the hard drive housing my latest film Noted crashed. the movie was set in front of the Sepulveda Dam in Sherman Oaks, California. The event made me realize I had let the film go. mis management of juggling other projects led to the Dam Breaking. I Refrained from editing due to being busy with stressful projects. I let the stress stop my time management. I didn't maintain. Below are some recovered screenshots from the recovered footage.
Be the River
When dam breaks and torrents of water surge forward, it serves as a powerful metaphor for life's challenges and setbacks. Just like water, we must let the negativity of breaking concrete and unexpected obstacles flow past us without hindrance. Embracing our passion and purpose is like becoming the river, unyielding in its determination to carve a new path. It's in these moments of adversity that we discover our true strength and resilience, reminding ourselves that even when obstacles seem insurmountable, our passion can guide us through, forging a path towards brighter horizons.
Flow With Negativity
A new Day a new chance to be in harmony with my purpose. I talk a lot about not letting things go to collect dust and rust. In fact my last blog was about Losing a project on a hard drive due to that very reason and here we go again. The previous blog was about allowing mismanagement to sink in and then the project was taken from me. The hard drive crashed. My solution was to become incited with new ideas that would spark excitement. That was in May. While correct... I now discover a underlying problem. How can you be excited for something when the stress of another problem hovers over you. You can't be excited when your under stress. Finding new excitement is 100% reliant on your temperament. Are you flowing with Negatively letting it pass under your feet or are you stressed out so much you have to calm down just to function?
DAY 1 of X
Well this was a test for me and unlike the previous hard drive that crashed with a low probability of recover, i didn't freak out when this happened again and I am happy to say its been fully recovered. It doesn't stop the fact that I didn't work on the project for weeks at a time. its been 3 months and the project is only 2 minutes long. I have now learned that we have to flow with negativity. It has no power unless we give it power. It's like your left foot. If you try to stop walking on it because you think its bad, you'll end up having to hop on your better leg. Its best to just let it flow so you can walk with ease. Today is Day 1 of X. Day 1 of re editing my next film and also Day 1 of my new adventure to capture the hearts and minds of Hollywood. If the Dam Breaks.. just let the water flow between your legs and keep moving forward.
