DESERTED BIG BOY

SHOT ON CINESTILL 400 GOLD

The Big Llama

You’re at Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank, killing time with Cherry Berry, a band that plays like they time-traveled from 1973. Between mouthfuls of fries, they tell you about a magical desert llama—a secret relic that grants freedom to whoever finds it. The church keeper knows the way. A napkin slides across the table, an address scrawled in shaky ink. One condition:If you reach the Llama give the Shepherd our Cassette Tape, he'll grant us all freedom.

Church Cowboy

Cut to Hollywood, behind a rusted fence near an old church. A Ruffian in a flannel shirt—call him Lobo—levels a gun at you. Before he pulls the trigger, you flip the napkin. His eyes scan the lipstick-smeared Cherry Berry Signature. He chuckles, tips his cowboy hat, and hands it over. He levels with you once more saying, "Give it to the girl on the mountain. Inside the brim—it’s for her eyes only." He walks away. You flip the napkin. Coordinates.

Pink Pink Boom

At the top of a canyon, the girl in the pink dress waits, wary. Without a word, she hands you a camera. You trade it for the hat. She strikes a pose, peeks inside the brim, and finds a stick of gum. Click. Click. Click. The moment she tires of your shutter, she unwraps the gum, pulls a second ingredient from her pocket, and fuses them into C4.

You freeze.

She smirks, motions to the camera. You pop it open. Inside: a miniature desert llama with a red button. You press it.

A split second later—black suits. Blindfold. El Camino. You've been thrown in the back and driving away you can hear the C4 explosion going off. Boom.

Adobe Roadie

When the blindfold comes off, you're dumped in the dirt before a container park in the desert. The suits point ahead. You climb the fence, follow the winding path, and stumble into a maze of bizarre adobe structures. Behind another fence, the desert llama looms.

Lama Rama

You pull the miniature llama from your pocket. It fits perfectly into the heart of the larger one. Gears whir. The llama shifts. Beneath it, a hidden hatch opens. A dark stairwell descends into the earth.

Complete the Mission or Stop Well Wishing?

Fear comes over to you. Is this freedom or a trap all along? Why would Cherry Berry go through all this trouble for you to hand their Cassette to the Shepherd? Why didn't they do it themselves? Maybe its an act of defiance against their record label? Maybe they're in on it and terrible Things go down in there? What if its a burried treasure? What if the Shepherd was the new Messiah? Anything could be down there. What do you think?
